Monasteries and villages where time has stood still

A trip by jeep from monastery to monastery in the mountains of Tibet, at an altitude of 5,000-8,000 meters. The guesthouses may be primitive, but the majestic landscape is more than worth any lack of creature comforts.

I am a huge travelogue fan and i must say that this one is a very good one!
I thought about traveling to Tibet but isn't it dangerous to travel their?

This is why Off The Beaten Track provides the service of a link to the CIA World Factbook, which has up-to-date information about security risks. You can find it in the Practical Information, to which a link is always provided with the travelogue.
And, of course, you have your own standards of how much risk is acceptable.
