Ngorongoro: a place that redeems all ugliness in the world
Submitted by Anonymous on 2008-08-10 00:01:34 (via travelrats.blogspot.com)
Shaking and growling, the vehicle trudges its way up on the bumpy dirt road to the rim of the crater. The “Crater access road” sign, scribbled with red paint on a wooden board appears out of the morning fog for a brief moment...   More...

Tanzanian Safari
Submitted by Anonymous on 2008-02-12 21:48:13 (via holeinthedonut.com)
My guide has retired to his tent for the night, exhausted from driving 8 hours over bone-jarring, roughly graded roads. “After sunset, the camp erupted with a plethora of animal sounds. The forest adjacent to the river had come alive. We listened intently as each roar came closer to us.
