In traveling, as in anything else, it's the small things that matter. They enhance the charm of wandering and exploring places, in the meanwhile discovering peculiar aspects, like, for example, the impossibility of take-away paella. Madrid is stunning in terms of art, history and nightlife.

now that was enchanting.
it made me remember of the great time I spent in Madrid a few years ago. Are the trees on the Paseo del Prado still kept? I remember that there was a plan to cut them down and I felt so sorry for them. That boulevard was incredibly charming :)
what else to add, except the fact that the nightlife is literally mad ...
and visiting the Bernabeu was certainly a blast. Did you go on a tour of the stadium?
