I become a Pod Person
Submitted by bindero on 2006-12-04 03:24:05 (via blogs.bootsnall.com)
How many spent their night in a capsule hotel? I didn’t, I NEED SPACE. Still, the deal is better than I’d imagined: every “capsule” has a TV and a radio in, there’s plenty of food, etc. Since I’ll visit Japan soon, I might give the Capsule Hotel a try. And space shouldn’t be an issue, if sumo-like folks manage to get a great night sleep there :).   More...

Kyoto
Submitted by Adele on 2007-05-18 01:56:21 (via canadiancarlsons.com)
The Japanese game that rules in Kyoto seems to be very simple but more popular - most of the 'American style' racing and shooting games went unused. Another thing is that this place has more then 2000 temples…   More...

Tokyo and Yokohama
Submitted by pablo on 2006-11-17 01:41:01 (via www.xenophilia.net)

It’s quite a challenge to find places like the fish market, the Kabuki Theatre, the Sensoji Temple, which is said to be the oldest in Tokyo, and my favorite part – to go to a Japanese football game. Miriam Nadel made it through, could you?   More...

To the Peak of The Island of Hokkaido
Submitted by cleo on 2007-03-15 07:30:30 (via www.tamegoeswild.com)
Climbing a vocano solo, at night, whithout first checking the weather conditions...? Crazy, but an expedition that will make you feel victorious and... miserable. A drop of humor, however, will keep up the spirits. In case this is Yotei San, then Japanese hospitality may provide you with a hot bath, after you’ve been soaked well in the rain.   More...

Engrish Lessons
Submitted by Anonymous on 2008-04-29 08:32:20 (via noboundaries.org)
"Breaking down the pins and get hot communication," or so says a sign in a Japanese bowling alley. The Japanese are pretty darn smart, run the world’s second largest economy, and practically invented the word “perfectionist.” So with all that going for them, how come they can't seem to keep their English straight?   More...

Submitted by Anonymous on 2008-04-29 08:17:41 (via noboundaries.org)
The author goes in search of "The World's Best Sushi" and gets a little bit more than he bargained for. With a kicker of an ending, it'll make you think twice before eating raw fish in Japan.
