Bosnia
Submitted by roxy on 2008-12-17 05:49:07 (via www.bazaarplanet.com)
A trip to the eastern part of the Europe is always challenging and captivating, especially if talking about Balkans. This time it was Bosnia to catch the eye of our fellow travelers Jemetha and Robert. Follow them on their trip and see what this country has to offer.   More...

Greenland: The greatness of silence
Submitted by pablo on 2008-02-19 08:51:28 (via www.gonomad.com)
Greenland is a destination like no other — no other place can offer the experience of dog sledging, where the riders and the musher ride on the back of a wide sledge, or provide the grandeur of the inland ice. And there's clearly no other place on earth where you can feel the greatness of silence like Greenland.

Rafting in Bosnia: A Landscape of Incomparable Splendor
Submitted by christine on 2007-07-09 23:45:16 (via www.gonomad.com)
Bosnia is more than a rugged country. It’s a way of life that demands extreme outdoor sports. For the author, her unintended first-ever whitewater adventure resulted in waiting for death's sweet kiss. Hopefully, everyone avoided a sad ending and continued discovering Bosnia - irretrievably scarred by war, but infinitely capable of renewing herself.   More...

Cruise in Russia
Submitted by cleo on 2007-05-18 02:30:11 (via www.biz2web.com)
In retrospect it turned out to be the best trip so far… It was better than we could have hoped for. It was the most relaxed time we have ever been in our travels. Cruising on the lakes and rivers was quite different from an ocean cruise. The entertainment was of a higher caliber… It was wonderful!!

Belarus
Submitted by lisa on 2007-05-03 08:24:48 (via berclo.net)
This is an article that could have as a motto the phrase: "Better one time to see it, than seven times being explained about it". It provides some good pictures of Minsk, so that everybody can make its impressions about this city.   More...

Berlin
Submitted by guided on 2006-12-16 01:25:46 (via www.oldworldwandering.com)
Rain crashed on the tin roof of a small caravan dispensing draught beer. Claire and I huddled beneath it, sipping Becks from refundable plastic cups. Dance music thumped from neat piles of speakers lining both sides of Strasse des 17 Juni, played by DJs now frantically trying to cover their equipment.   More...

Bread and Toasts in Georgia
Submitted by pablo on 2006-11-20 03:39:45 (via www.xenophilia.net)
Oh, I’ve heard too many myths about hospitality… However, this article almost made me believe in Georgians’ warmth, as the author claims to have gotten its first taste within a half hour of arrival. Read about old and new churches, great food, a lot of history, and awesome people – in other words, my next destination to see!   More...

Riga - A Magical City in the Baltics!
Submitted by Adele on 2006-11-16 02:52:48 (via realtravel.com)
Just like Jodie in this story, when hearing about Latvia or any other ex-Soviet Union country, I would ask: “Why would I go to any of these weird countries?” Not so after reading this. Riga is worth visiting: a beautiful medieval old town sprinkled with ultra-modern constructions and backed up with a very rich history.   More...

City Trip Rome and Florence
Submitted by ManjaB on 2010-07-13 22:48:39 (via www.off-the-beaten-track.net)
As different as they are, both Rome and Florence have an abundance of squares (piazzas) and fountains, often designed by famous artists. And, of course, the highlights are visited as well, but it's nice to have this theme.
