Le Canal du Midi: Go with the Flow in Southern France

In the 17th century, engineers built an amazing waterway in southern France called the Canal du Midi, now a World Heritage Site. The canal was designed as a shortcut for transporting goods through France from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. No longer used by commercial barges, it has become a peaceful haven for pleasure boats and barge-hotels.
