| Architecture is uniform and beautiful. All houses are of a similar style and there are NO western type buildings. Even the newest buildings retain the Bhutanese flavor. Streams are clear and the roads are paved. There is electricity 24/7, the food is good and the people are very friendly.

| “Bhutan -- known also as "the land of the thunder dragon," but could just as easily be nicknamed, "land of the howling dogs", "land of the chili pepper", "land of the photo-op", or "land of butter products". We were thrilled to be finally in such a relaxing place.” And reading this I was impressed to learn about the way children behave there.

| Here a very impressive article about a tourist that visited Bhutan during September11.2001. That day children did not go to school, because “the King has shut down the country so his people can light butter lamps for us, in mourning”...
